The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday that it was investigating online threats against the grand jurors who voted this week to indict former President Donald Trump and 18 others, accusing them of conspiring to overturn Georgia’s 2020 election results. The jurors’ names are listed early in the sprawling 98-page indictment, as required in Georgia, making the state an outlier among federal and state court systems. Now some of those jurors have had their faces, social media profiles, and possible addresses and phone numbers shared on internet sites, in some cases with the suggestion that they should be harassed — though it was unclear Thursday if anyone had followed up on those suggestions. The county sheriff’s office said in a statement that it was aware of online threats against grand jurors and was working with other agencies to track down their origin. It did not answer inquiries about whether any jurors had reported harassment.Other Trump prose...Hilary grows into Category 3 hurricane, forecast to bring heavy rain to SoCal this weekend

The Orange Unified School District may be the latest school to adopt a policy that would require schools to notify parents if their child is transgender. The proposed policy is being discussed and considered during a Thursday school board night meeting. The policy would follow similar measures adopted by other Southern California school districts in Chino Valley on July 20 and Murrieta on Aug. 11. Those meetings involved plenty of heated debate from parents, school officials and lawmakers alike.Supporters of the policy believe it’s a parent’s right to be notified of information involving their child, while critics believe the policy could open up discrimination or potentially put students in a harmful situation, according to California Attorney General, Rob Bonta. The proposed policy would require written parental notification within three school days after a student identifies as a gender “other than the student’s biological sex or gender listed on the student’s birth certificate.”The...Retail experts question effectiveness of CHP retail theft crackdown
